Legal Assistant

The Legal Assistant provides customer support for clients of Huron Law Group PLLC. Huron Law Group is a law firm that specializes in helping consumers resolve their debt. You will work closely with our Attorneys, Clients, and Clients’ Creditors to settle client debt under the supervision of the firm’s attorneys.   • Takes incoming calls from customer and/or delivers scripted or non-scripted messages to customers via telephone during designated hours;
  • Responds appropriately to customer objections and questions;
  • Delivers accurate description of product and/or service to customers;
  • Navigates computer systems to properly assist the customer and locate customer data or other electronic information;
  • Records each call by accurately documenting status and comments in the database;
  • Resolves issues within bounds of authority or requests assistance from other team members or Team Lead as necessary;
  • Maintains a high level of service to customers and meets performance targets;
  • Drafts pleadings and communications with clients and/or creditors as needed;
  • Promotes and maintains a positive, professional image of Huron Law Group.


  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Paralegal certificate or degree preferred.
  • Minimum two years of work related experience. Work related experience should consist of a background in financial services, retail, general sales, or call center experience.
  • Exhibits a passion and commitment to great customer service by consistently delivering excellent service to every customer of Huron Law Group.
  • Intermediate typing and math skills to meet production needs of the position.
  • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, read, analyze and interpret documents, understand procedures, write correspondence and speak clearly to members and employees.
  • Ability to work with no supervision while performing duties.
  • Experience in FDCPA Guidelines a plus
  • Bilingual(Spanish) a plus
